Mrs Beckett from NSW on 6/02/2018There is one big flaw in this product which is the idea that you can hang it over the door handle and that it will stay there when a highly-charged border collie wants to get in. Obviously it will move side to side so that the door is not protected. But we have used screws at intervals of about 12cm all the way around the edges to fix the protector to the door. This has meant that everything is now fine and although the plastic is not as strong as I might have hoped it would be, I think it will do the job. Interestingly, after the protector was fixed to the door, the dog seemed reluctant to scratch it!

Also when I hung it on the door handle it would swing and not stay upright as the handle opening is off to the side. The only way we could keep it upright on the door was to doublesided tape it
